Media Advisory - Winnipeg ceremony continues cross-Canada commemoration of D-Day and the Battle of Normandy Français
WINNIPEG, May 6, 2019 /CNW/ - Veterans Affairs Canada will mark the 75th anniversary of D-Day and the Battle of Normandy with a departure ceremony as part of the commemorative journey across Canada to Halifax. The boots will arrive in Halifax on June 3, and will be part of the Government of Canada Signature ceremony on June 6.
