Media Advisory/Camera Call - British Columbia's Future Soccer Stars Compete to Earn Spot on Western Team for the Danone Nations Cup
VANCOUVER, April 29, 2014 /CNW/ - The selection staff of the Danone Nations Cup, the largest international soccer tournament for 10 to 12 year-olds, will be in Vancouver on May 3rd, 2014, as part of the British Columbia Provincial Selection Camp stopover. Following the event, selected players will join the Western Canada team to play against the Eastern Canada team at the National Final, to be held in Montreal on June 21, 2014.
The team that wins the National Final will have the chance to represent Canada at this year's World Final, to be held in Brazil in the Fall. "The Danone Nations Cup is an unforgettable experience for our up-and-coming young athletes and a unique opportunity to discover who the future sports stars are." said Canadian Team head coach Dean Howie.
