Media Advisory/Media Conference - Major human trafficking investigation and impacts unveiled Français
ORILLIA, ON, Oct. 21, 2015 /CNW/ - Several law enforcement agencies will announce details of a major, coordinated investigation to counter human trafficking and provide insight into its devastating impacts.
Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Deputy Commissioner Scott TOD, Chief Superintendent Warren COONS of the RCMP National Human Trafficking Coordination Centre, and members of the United States Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) will provide details on this phase of Operation Northern Spotlight. They will be accompanied by a human trafficking victim, a member of a child advocacy support agency, and representatives and subject matter experts from 10 of the more than 45 Canadian police services participating in this multi-jurisdiction investigation. All participants will be available for one-on-one interviews following the formal media conference.
