Media advisory/Photo & video opportunity - Paralympic medallist and Chef de Mission Todd Nicholson to make presentation at Abilities Centre Français
WHITBY, ON, April 20, 2017 /CNW/ - Todd Nicholson, a three-time Paralympic medallist in Para ice hockey and Team Canada's Chef de Mission for the PyeongChang 2018 Paralympic Winter Games, will make a special presentation to students at the Abilities Centre on Wednesday, April 26 as part of Paralympic Schools Week 2017.
Nicholson will share the story of his journey in sport, as well as look ahead to the upcoming PyeongChang 2018 Paralympic Winter Games set for March 9 to 18 in South Korea. Following his talk, Nicholson will join local school children in playing wheelchair basketball and para ice hockey in the gym.
Nicholson competed at five Paralympic Games between 1994 and 2010, winning gold, silver and bronze medals. Team captain for 15 years, he was named to the Paralympic All-Star Team in 1998 and 2002.
