Media Advisory/Photo Op - Locked out funeral home workers park hearse and picket Toronto Stock Exchange
RICHMOND HILL, ON, July 23, 2013 /CNW/ - 30 Dignity Memorial-SCI employees will be parking an antique hearse in front of the Toronto Stock Exchange at noon on Wednesday, July 24 and setting up an information picket designed to draw attention to the actions of their employer, Texas' based Service Corporation International (SCI), which has locked them out since contract negotiations broke off on June 27, 2013. Issues still to be resolved include wages, working conditions such as compulsory work on statutory holidays, and sick days.
