About NBTAP
The New Brunswick Teen Apprentice Program is an industry-led, three-year pre-apprentice program for students starting in Grade 10. While still in high school, qualifying students begin to learn a skilled trade with a participating NBTAP employer in their area. NBTAP includes three paid summer work terms and available high school trades course electives. Students work toward completion of the first block of a skilled trades apprenticeship through paid summer work experience and are encouraged to complement their practical training by taking trades course electives during high school. In 2014 the program will expand across southern New Brunswick as well as to the Moncton, Richibucto, Bouctouche, Fredericton, Grand Falls, St Leonard and St Quentin areas. www.nbtap.ca
