TORONTO, Sept. 13, 2017 /CNW/ - It's that time of year again! What better way to celebrate Science Literacy Week than by honouring excellence in science communication? On September 20, the Ontario Science Centre and the Science Writers and Communicators of Canada (SWCC) honour Torontonian author Simon Shapiro for his outstanding contribution to science writing for youth. Shapiro will be presented the SWCC Youth Book Award for his book Faster Higher Smarter, which looks at the science behind inventions and improvements in sports – from swimming to basketball and skateboarding to wheelchair athletics.
