Former astronaut Dr. Dave Williams provides insight into space travel in real time
TORONTO, Nov. 28, 2018 /CNW/ - 3… 2… 1… blast off! On December 3, Canadian Space Agency astronaut David Saint-Jacques departs for the International Space Station (ISS) on his first mission, Expedition 58. To mark this momentous occasion in Canadian space exploration, the Ontario Science Centre hosts a public launch party, featuring a NASA Live stream, space-themed activities and a special presentation by former astronaut Dr. Dave Williams.
Having been to space twice and setting the Canadian record for spacewalking, Dr. Dave has incredible insight on space travel — from the effects of spaceflight on the human body to the challenges faced in microgravity to the dangers of floating space debris.
The launch party is included with general admission to the Science Centre.
