A four-metre replica of al-Jazari's Musical Boat, featuring a mechanical 'robot band,' raises its sail for the first time in North America
TORONTO, Feb. 26, 2014 /CNW/ - Explore and celebrate important scientific and technological advancements and discoveries made by scholars during the Golden Age of Islamic Science. This newly enhanced exhibition highlights the multicultural roots of modern science and technology. Learn how early scholars developed the decimal point, flew the first successful glider and navigated the seas without a magnetic compass. Nine exhibition areas cover disciplines including astronomy, chemistry, mathematics, medicine and optics.
