Science Centre hosts free torch relay celebration for the community
TORONTO, July 2, 2015 /CNW/ - The countdown is on! The Pan Am flame will visit the Ontario Science Centre on July 6. To mark the occasion, the Science Centre will host a torch relay celebration from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. that day in TELUSCAPE, located outside of the Science Centre's main entrance. Everyone is invited to participate in this free event, which will include sports-related programming, sponsor activations and live music. The Pan Am flame is scheduled to arrive at the Ontario Science Centre at approximately 1:25 p.m.
The Ontario Science Centre is proud to be a part of the torch relay's 41-day journey across Canada. The Science Centre is honoured to have Marissa Papaconstaninou, a local teen para-athlete who holds the Canadian record for the 100m and 200m sprint in her class, as its torchbearer.
