New fuel saving and idle reducing technology for police and EMS vehicles

What: Fleet Challenge Ontario will host Economic Development and Trade Minister and Windsor MPP Sandra Pupatello at a display of the Windsor Police test vehicle with the new HIRS (Hybrid Idling Reduction System) technology.
Display is at the Green Sun Rising Inc. celebration of its Grand Opening of the Renewable Energy Technology Centre (RET-Centre). The Opening begins with a ribbon cutting ceremony followed by an open house www.RET-Center.com

Who: Fleet Challenge Ontario Senior Researchers Allan King and John Lyon will be on site to demonstrate the new fuel saving and idle reducing technology and answer questions; they are available for interviews.
What is it? The Hybrid Idling Reduction System (HIRS) is a pioneering technological solution that maintains all onboard DC systems and cab climate control - without idling - and with no compromise in performance.
