Ultimate Food Challenge returns May 7
TORONTO, April 9, 2014 /CNW/ - On May 7, three chefs will test their skills in an attempt to create the best dish using ingredients found in a food bank hamper box. Chefs Donna Dooher (Mildred's Temple Kitchen), Saverio Macri (Cibo Wine Bar) and Daniel Mezzolo (Gusto 101) will face off in the ring while judges Michael Bonacini, Massimo Capra and Emily Richards decide the ultimate winner.
Guests will have a chance to vote for their favourite challenge dish as well, and sample gourmet hors d'oeuvres from Daily Bread's Catering Kitchen and chef's signature dishes from their restaurants. An espresso and dessert bar will round off the evening, along with a silent auction, drinks and an outdoor patio.
A culinary competition on the Toronto waterfront, proceeds from the Ultimate Food Challenge will support Daily Bread's Food Services Training Program and meal programs for low-income children and families.
