TORONTO, Oct. 2, 2018 /CNW/ - On Thursday, October 4, employees of Grant Thornton LLP across Canada, will lace-up their sneakers and partake in the fourth annual Making Steps Count Walk, the signature fundraiser of the Grant Thornton Foundation. The people of Grant Thornton will momentarily put their work on-hold to take in the fresh air, share some laughs with colleagues and friends, connect with their community all while raising money for great causes.
Each year, more than 60 Grant Thornton LLP offices across Canada walk around their communities and raise funds for various charities. The Grant Thornton Foundation donates to organizations that are most important to the firm and its people as well as three national charities including: Big Brothers Big Sisters Canada; Breakfast Club of Canada; and Boys and Girls Clubs of Canada. Funds go towards a variety of programs, including: mentor/mentee relationships, purchasing food for schools and funding post-secondary scholarships.
Media are welcome to join the walk and snap photos of the fun and inspiring day.
