| Based on in-person surveys of more than 1,400 food bank clients across Toronto, the new 2017 Who's Hungry Report reveals some sobering trends: |

| • Despite good economic times, food bank visits are back to recession levels, and clients are accessing food banks twice as long; |
|
| • Scarborough has seen a 30% increase in the number of people accessing food banks; |
|
| • Seniors are the fastest-rising age group of food bank clients. |
|
| Richard Matern, author of the 2017 Who's Hungry Report, will discuss these and other findings related to poverty, hunger, and basic income programs. |
