Media Advisory/Photo Opportunity - Two-time Olympic gold medalist Donovan Bailey to talk about Pan Am track and field and help unveil medal podiums for TORONTO 2015 Français
TORONTO, May 27, 2015 /CNW/ - Donovan Bailey stood at the top of the podium twice at the Atlanta 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta. Those gold-medal accomplishments in the 100-metre race and the 4 x 100-metre relay were not only Canada's greatest moments in track and field but one of the greatest moments in Canadian sport history.
Bailey is excited to talk about the talent from the Americas coming to Toronto, as well as Team Canada, which he says will have one of its best roster of athletes ever this summer at the Pan Am Games.
The TORONTO 2015 Pan Am/Parapan Am Games Organizing Committee (TO2015) and its government partners will also unveil the Games medal podiums where the athletes will receive their hard-fought medals. Bailey will be honoured to stand by the podium for a photo op and relive his Atlanta memories for the cameras.
