Daily Bread may not meet Spring Drive goals
TORONTO, March 26, 2016 /CNW/ -

Spring Drive Public Food Sorts |
Today and Easter Monday morning, over 400 volunteers will help sort and pack Spring Drive food donations at Daily Bread's warehouse. |
With one week left to go, Daily Bread may not reach the Spring Drive goals of $225,000 and 150,000 pounds of food. As of March 25, only $125,000 and 67,000 pounds of food have been raised. The Spring Drive ends on April 1 and donations help stock the shelves to ensure a steady supply of nutritious food can be distributed to Torontonians struggling with hunger and poverty. Daily Bread's executive director, Gail Nyberg, will be on hand to explain why donations are so important this time of year. |
Note: Daily Bread is fully booked for public sorting. No volunteers are required. |
