MEDIA ADVISORY/PHOTO OPPORTUNITY: Hockey greats join annual CIBC Hockey Day for United Way this Sunday
NHL legends Darryl Sittler and Wendel Clark join Santa and 26 CIBC hockey teams for a day of friendly competition and family activities
TORONTO, Dec. 11, 2015 /CNW/ - CIBC's signature United Way fundraising event takes place this Sunday, December 13th, with 26 teams participating in a friendly competition between colleagues while raising funds for United Way.
In its 12th year, CIBC Hockey Day has raised $4.25 million for United Way to date, plus this year's on-target goal of $1.5 million.
Families from the nearby Jane and Finch Community and Family Centre, a United Way member agency, have also been invited to join the fun, and take part in a Family Skate which follows the tournament. In addition to fun on the ice, families will enjoy a special visit and gifts from Santa.
