MEDIA ADVISORY/Spokesperson Availability - KPMG talks about the emerging Big Data business landscape and data-driven entrepreneurs
TORONTO, June 10, 2014 /CNW/ - Big data is set to dramatically define how businesses and organizations operate in the future, and the Data and Analytics (D&A) landscape is evolving fast. The time is right to nurture the next generation of Canadian D&A entrepreneurs. With this in mind, KPMG's Technology, Media and Telecommunications (TMT) practice today announced its association with OneEleven, an advanced accelerator focused on mentoring the next generation of Big Data entrepreneurial companies.
Collaborating with OneEleven to support Canada's growth company leaders and data scientists enables KPMG's TMT team to play a pivotal role in the emerging sector and provide entrepreneurs with pro-bono guidance including setting up company structures, preparing for and finding investors/acquisition partners, and getting ready for cross-border operations to name a few.
The partnership also allows OneEleven companies and KPMG Capital, KPMG member firms' global investment fund that accelerates innovation through data and analytics partnerships, to work together to solve critical business challenges and help businesses unlock the value of their data and make smarter decisions.
KPMG and OneEleven are co-hosting a panel of D&A professionals, VCs and growth company CEOs on Thursday, June 12 to discuss crucial issues and current trends impacting the evolution of D&A in North America, including:
- Advice for building a world-class D&A growth company
- Commercialization and financing issues for D&A growth companies
- Important trends in customer adoption, usage and ROI
- The evolution of D&A platforms, technology and solutions that will have the biggest impact in tapping the benefits of Big Data.
