TORONTO, Feb. 29, 2016 /CNW/ - On International Rare Disease Day, patients, caregivers and representatives from the Canadian Organization for Rare Disorders (CORD) will be meeting with Ontario Health Minister Eric Hoskins and MPPs to discuss and share their stories and challenges of living with rare disorders.
At the event, CORD will also showcase how Ontario can become a national leader in improving the lives of patients with rare disorders, starting by implementing some immediate concrete actions to address the unnecessary barriers to getting the right diagnosis, care, specialists and treatment.
