CALGARY, AB, Aug. 19, 2013 /CNW/ - The Canadian Medical Association's (CMA) 146th annual meeting continues today with a focus on the future of physician resources in Canada and appropriate application of clinical practice activities. Today will also be the first opportunity for delegates to debate motions. As well, CMA president Dr. Anna Reid will deliver her valedictory address.

Speaker: Dr. Jesse Pasternak, 5th-year surgical resident at McMaster University and chair of the Physician Resource Committee of the Canadian Association of Internes and Residents.

Strategic Session #3: Clinical Decision-Making Appropriateness and Accountability
Strategic debate with motions that provide policy direction on strategies to engage physicians and patients in the appropriate application of clinical practice activities to increase accountability and quality in the context of physician-patient clinical encounters.
