Media Alert - Open media policy in effect at all Staples locations on Boxing Day

TORONTO, Dec. 23, 2013 /CNW/ - The busiest shopping day is upon us and Staples retail locations are preparing for the final holiday rush. The majority of Canadian shoppers will be on the hunt for great deals on tech and more.

WHAT:	Exclusive for Boxing Day, media are invited to all Staples locations across the country for interviews, b-roll or backdrops for their Boxing Day stories without prior approval from the home office.
WHY:	Staples wants to make it easy for media to capture footage of the lineups, excitement, and busyness associated with the notorious day.
WHEN:	Boxing Day (Thursday, December 26)
	Stores open at 8 a.m. local time where permitted
