Media Alert - Toronto Don Valley Hotel & Suites Hosts Community Event in Support of Earth Hour
Enjoy Earth Hour at Don Valley's Urban Oasis with Tiki Torches, Hot Chocolate, S'mores and more
TORONTO, March 23, 2013 /CNW/ - Toronto Don Valley Hotel & Suites will be demonstrating its support for WWF's annual Earth Hour tonight by powering down the hotel's electricity to only essential services. In addition, after residents shut off the electricity in their homes, Toronto Don Valley is hosting an open invite for the community to spend Earth Hour at the hotel enjoying snacks and hot drinks. "Last year Toronto saw a 6.8 per cent drop in power use during Earth Hour according to Toronto Hydro," says Kevin Porter, General Manager of Toronto Don Valley Hotel & Suites. "We hope our community event will help provide some added motivation to the residents in our surrounding community."
