WHAT: | Prostate Cancer Canada will be announcing national research funding aimed at stemming the tide of deaths due to advanced stage prostate cancer. This year in Canada alone, about 23,600 new cases of prostate cancer will be diagnosed and 4,000 men will die from the disease. These new grants are in response to the urgent need to accelerate new discoveries into the clinic. |
