HALIFAX, Sept. 28 /CNW/ - On Saturday, October 2, 2010 join the Halifax Kennel Club and Iams as they celebrate Halifax's furry friends at the third annual Rdog Walk in support of the Responsible Dog Owners Group. See some preening pooches strut their stuff on the Halifax Waterfront Boardwalk as the Rdog Walk raises awareness of what it means to be a responsible pet parent.

WHAT:		Dog lovers and their canine companions will be grabbing their 'pawsports' and travelling across the Halifax Waterfront Boardwalk with Iams and the Halifax Kennel Club in celebration of Rdogs - Responsible Dog Owners Group - during the third annual Rdog Walk.
		This year, Mark Grant of the Halifax Kennel Club will be on hand to highlight:
		- The role nutrition plays in keeping your dog happy and healthy, from the inside out
		- The way that pet owners can ensure their pooches are good neighbours and respected members of the community
