TORONTO, Dec. 10, 2014 /CNW/ -
WHAT: |
Toronto-based Tim Hortons restaurant owners are taking Tim Hortons' #WarmWishes social media campaign to heart, by donating 2,000 fleece blankets to Covenant House Toronto, Canada's largest homeless youth agency. The donated blankets will be used for a variety of Covenant House initiatives including the transitional housing program, the crisis shelter and for kids who access Covenant House's drop-in program. |
In addition to delivering boxes of blankets, the TimsRunner, Tim Hortons' mobile coffee truck will be distributing free Dark Roast coffee samples, to further spread #WarmWishes to Covenant House kids and passersby. |
|
As part of Tim Hortons #WarmWishes campaign, Canadians are encouraged to spread holiday cheer by sharing their kind gestures and goodwill using #WarmWishes and @TimHortons on Twitter and Instagram. For every social share, Tim Hortons will pay-it-forward and donate a toque to a child in need through the Tim Horton Children's Foundation with the goal of providing up to 10,000 children with a warm and cozy toque. |
