HALIFAX, NS, June 12, 2024 /CNW/ -
What: |
In partnership with Canadian National (CN) and The Salvation Army, donations for the Matthew Gordon Annual Clothing Drive will arrive in Halifax on Friday. |
In 2017, Ken Gordon was checking cargo on his truck when he was struck by a vehicle on Highway 103. To honour his memory, his son Matthew, aged 10, decided to collect clothing for The Salvation Army - a place that had always made his father feel safe and supported when seeking help during his struggles with alcoholism. Friday marks Matthew's eighth-straight year of leading this initiative. |
