retrieval project with Habitat for Humanity York Region
NEWMARKET, ON, June 4, 2010 /CNW/ - Twenty-one buildings are slated for demolition along Davis Drive in Newmarket, marking a significant milestone in the improvements that are en route along this busy corridor - including Viva rapid transit lanes (rapidways).
To ensure that at least 85 per cent of the building materials are recycled or reused and diverted from landfill, The Regional Municipality of York invites you to join Habitat for Humanity York Region (Habitat York), a non-profit organization, to celebrate the launch of a major retrieval project.
Sinks, tubs, cupboards, countertops, chandeliers, doors, lumber and more will be removed from the buildings and taken to Habitat York's ReStore locations. Mayor Van Bynen will join many others in kicking off this significant retrieval project.
