MONTRÉAL, April 4, 2025 /CNW/ - As the government prepares to adopt Bill 91 – An Act to establish the Unified Family Court, several organizations advocating for victims of violence are joining forces to call for a reversal on mandatory mediation and the implementation of systematic screening for domestic violence.
The Fédération des maisons d'hébergement pour femmes, the Regroupement des maisons pour femmes victimes de violence conjugale, the Alliance des maisons de 2e étape, and the Fédération des associations de familles monoparentales et recomposées du Québec invite you to a press conference where testimonies, lived experiences and concrete recommendations will be presented to prevent this reform from putting already victimized women and children at greater risk.
