OTTAWA, March 23, 2018 /CNW/ - Following new revelations about amendments to Carleton University's pension plan, Kevin Skerrett, pension specialist for the Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE), and Simon Archer, lawyer and pensions expert at Goldblatt Partners LLP, will be available to media to respond to questions about a "non-compliant" benefit cut and the resulting complaint filed with the Financial Services Commission of Ontario (FSCO) on behalf of CUPE.
Members of CUPE 2424 – administrative, technical and library staff at Carleton University – belong to Carleton's retirement plan and have been on strike for three weeks to defend their right to a secure retirement income.
