MEDIA AVAILABILITY - Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport to Unveil The Fabric of Our Being Textile Installation
TORONTO, Feb. 21, 2024 /CNW/ - Representatives of Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport will join poet, author and arts educator Nadine Williams and Toronto and District School Board (TDSB) Waterfront School grade 4 students to unveil The Fabric of Our Being, a textile art installation celebrating and bringing awareness to the International Decade for People of African Descent, a United Nations initiative. The Fabric of Our Being was conceptualized by Nadine Williams and her Collective and features 30 quilt tiles designed by the students of the TDSB Waterfront School. The Honourable Dr. Jean Augustine is among the notable Canadians featured in the quilt and will be in attendance at the event.
