Media blackout in place as OPSEU and LCBO make last-ditch efforts at bargaining table
TORONTO, May 16, 2013 /CNW/ - With a strike/lockout deadline coming at 12:01 a.m. Friday the mediator involved in contract talks between OPSEU and the LCBO has ordered parties to implement a news blackout, effective immediately.
The blackout will provide an opportunity for both sides to focus on the contract talks, the outcome of which will have a significant impact on the people of Ontario, the 7,000 members of OPSEU at the LCBO, and the Crown Agency itself.
