Media Invitation - 4th Seminar on the Ethics of Research with Indigenous Peoples: Coproduction of Knowledge with Indigenous Peoples and sharing of research results Français
VAL-D'OR, QC, Nov. 19, 2018 /CNW Telbec/ - Media representatives are invited to attend the 4th seminar on the ethics of research with Indigenous Peoples held on November 22 and 23 at the First Peoples Pavilion, Val-d'Or campus of the Université du Québec en Abitibi-Témiscamingue (UQAT). This eagerly awaited event will be the opportunity to share updates on the various perspectives in research relating to Indigenous Peoples and to discuss less frequent topics such as history and archaeology in the Indigenous context.
Intended for Indigenous communities and organisations, researchers, professors and students, managers and research practitioners as well as anyone interested by ethics or research with Indigenous Peoples, this seminar is organised by the UQAT in close collaboration with DIALOG, the Aboriginal Peoples Research and Knowledge Network.
And, for the very first time, the seminar will hold a scientific poster contest open to 2nd and 3rd cycle students. The students must highlight the ethical aspects of their research, demonstrate what they developed to ensure a good collaboration with the Indigenous communities and organisations they work with.
On the program: conferences, roundtables, launch of the 2nd edition of the Toolbox of research principles in an Aboriginal context, and much more!
Certain researchers will be available for interview during the event.
