Centraide's 2013 campaign was conducted in over 1,800 organizations and among the general public under the theme "Giving brightens lives." Some 23,000 volunteers raised donations from individuals and corporations to support a network of 369 agencies in Greater Montreal.
The proceeds will allow these agencies to work all year at brightening the daily lives of 500,000 vulnerable and excluded people. Food and housing assistance, support for early-childhood development and academic perseverance, integration services for immigrants and people with disabilities, and accompaniment for isolated seniors and people with mental health problems are among the services the agencies will offer thanks to the generosity of donors.
