Electronic safety on board vehicles explained by pros
QUEBEC, June 7 /CNW Telbec/ - CAA-Quebec and the Canadian Automobile Association (CAA) are teaming up with the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA) to promote the advantages of electronic safety systems on board vehicles.
In the company of race-car driver Jacques Villeneuve, you are invited to discover or rediscover technologies that contribute to road safety on a day-to-day basis. This is a unique opportunity to see Formula One driver Michael Schumacher eloquently demonstrate these technologies.
You will also have a chance to test vehicles equipped with different electronic safety systems, accompanied by the experts of CAA-Quebec's road safety team!
When? Thursday, June 10, 2010, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Where? PMG Technologies Test and Research Centre, 100 Rue du Landais, Blainville* Schedule 10:30 a.m.: Registration at the gate (allow 10 minutes) and greeting 11 a.m.: Start of news conference Noon: Opportunity to test vehicles Snacks and refreshments will be served. Directions from Montreal: - Highway 15 north toward Laval and Saint-Jérôme (24.6 km) - Exit 25 to reach Boulevard de la Seigneurie Ouest (which becomes Boulevard Céloron) going toward Blainville (3.2 km) - Continue along Boulevard Céloron (1.4 km) - Turn right on Rue de l'Ardennais (950 metres) - Turn right on Rue du Landais (500 metres) - Turn left and look for the Centre on your right * A bus will transport media representatives who so desire.
