LONGUEUIL, QC, Nov. 21, 2013 /CNW Telbec/ - The Jacques Cartier and Champlain Bridges Incorporated (JCCBI) invites media representatives to a technical briefing on Friday, November 22, at 10:00 a.m., to present a status report on the situation with the Champlain Bridge.
At this briefing, the JCCBI management team will provide an update on the situation and the measures that have been undertaken.
On November 12, a significant crack was detected on one of the Champlain Bridge's girders. As a preventive measure, the lane above this girder was closed to traffic. The southbound lane has since remained closed.
