Media Invitation - Children's Day 2016: a Great Food Drive for Children's event aiming to raise awareness
MONTREAL, April 1, 2016 /CNW Telbec/ - Moisson Montréal, Moisson Rive-Sud and the Centre de bénévolat et moisson Laval invites the media to Children's Day (#JDE) to be held this Saturday, April 2nd from 9 am to 1 pm, in Moisson Montréal's warehouse.
WHAT: |
For the first time, Moisson Montréal opens its doors to the public. The food bank will be transformed in an urban sugar shack for a day to hold a family event – already sold out – where 200 people are expected. A family volunteering activity and a brunch with Bob le Chef are scheduled. |
Let us recall that 18,000 little ones aged 0-5 years suffer from hunger in the greater Montreal region each month. Until April 9th, the public is invited to make a monetary donation by visiting the website greatfooddrive.com. |

About the Great Food Drive for Children
Initiated in 2012 by Moisson Montréal, the Great Food Drive for Children is an annual campaign that involves two other major food banks, Moisson Rive-Sud and the Centre de bénévolat et moisson Laval. The primary objective of the Great Food Drive for Children is to raise monetary donations for toddlers, in order to help feed 18,000 little ones aged 0-5 living in poverty in the Montreal region.
