Media invitation - "Engines are roaring for the Grand Prix Festival comeback
on Crescent Street!"

MONTREAL, June 7 /CNW Telbec/ - Since the first edition in 1999, the Crescent Street Grand Prix Festival has come to be regarded as the gathering spot for downtown Montreal activities in the days leading to the big race.

As it marks its big comeback and its 11th anniversary with an array of new activities, contests, a tremendous musical listing and many surprises during the weekend, the Festival cordially invites media representatives to the Opening Ceremony launching this year's activity-packed event.

The Opening Ceremony gets underway at 12:30 p.m. and features Olympic champions Alexandre Bilodeau and Charles Hamelin and the women's synchronized swimming team which just came back from the World Championship in China with several medals. They all will be available to the media following the Ford Pit Stop Challenge.

Representatives from the Crescent Street Merchants Association and from major sponsors LG Electronics, Virgin Mobile, Budweiser, Ford and Go Fast will be part of the Opening Ceremony.
