400 employees from Montreal companies take to the field for a charity soccer match
MONTREAL, Sept. 29, 2012 /CNW Telbec/ - On Saturday, September 29, major Montreal companies will come together for a day of soccer, team spirit and generosity. Over 400 employees from different companies will participate in the very first Centraide Cup, a charity soccer tournament to raise money to fight poverty and social exclusion in Greater Montreal.
Organized in collaboration with the Montreal Impact, this unique tournament stars 25 teams who will take to field at Stade Saputo to raise money for a great cause.

The companies playing for the Centraide Cup: Aon Hewitt, Laurentian Bank, National Bank, Scotiabank, BMO Financial Group, Bombardier, CIBC, Desjardins, Dessau, Ferreira Café, SNC-Lavalin, Hydro-Québec, Industrial Alliance, Intact Insurance, The Jean Coutu Group, Pharmascience, Pratt & Whitney Canada, Québecor/TVA Sports, RBC Royal Bank, Rolls-Royce Canada, Samson Bélair/Deloitte & Touche, Saputo, Sobeys, Standard Life and TD Canada Trust.
Regular match play will be held continuously from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on September 29. The playoffs will run from 4:45 p.m. to 6:45 p.m., after which the final itself will be played. The event is free and open to the public.
All proceeds from the Centraide Cup will go to Centraide Campaign 2012, which will be officially launched in Montreal on October 3 with the March of 1,000 Umbrellas. For more info: www.givetocentraide.ca or www.centraide-mtl.org.
