MONTRÉAL, June 18, 2018 /CNW Telbec/ - Media representatives are invited to attend the opening of the ICLEI World Congress 2018 ICLEI's new vision for sustainable urban development. From June 19 to 22, participants from some sixty countries will meet at the Palais des congrès to discuss best practices from here and abroad. This is an ideal opportunity for media representatives to meet with actors of sustainable urban development from around the world.

- At 2 p.m., the Mayor of Montréal, Valérie Plante and the Minister of Sustainable Development, the Environment and the Fight Against Climate Change, Isabelle Melançon, will speak at the opening plenary.
- At 3 p.m., the plenary will continue with the main speakers: Naoki Ishii (Global Environment Facility) and Severn Cullis-Suzuki (Environmental activist).
