Some 20,000 participants are expected at this huge rally of caring citizens
MONTREAL, Sept. 30, 2014 /CNW Telbec/ - On October 2, at 11:30 a.m., Centraide of Greater Montreal will kick off its annual fundraising campaign, the biggest movement of caring and solidarity in all of Quebec.
The media are cordially invited to join Centraide's March of 1,000 Umbrellas. Some 20,000 people are expected. Donors, volunteers community workers and people from the business world, public sector and trade unions will march together, holding up their umbrellas, to show their support for the people helped by Centraide and its network of 362 agencies.

Four raised platforms will be installed for photographers and camera operators wishing to take overhead shots of the event:
- Two at the starting point of the march, at the southwest corner of McGill College Avenue
- One at the corner of Union Avenue
- One on Jeanne-Mance Street (Place des Festivals)
