MONTREAL, April 30, 2014 /CNW Telbec/ - MURAL, the international public art festival, invites the media to a press conference next week, on Thursday, May 8 at 2:00 p.m., at the Excentris movie theatre in Montreal, where the official line-up for its 2014 edition will be revealed.
As an event intended to celebrate creativity, MURAL will transform Saint-Laurent Boulevard into an open-air gallery. The street will be closed to traffic for the occasion, from June 12 to 15, to showcase the talents of local and international artists. The event, unique in the northeast part of this continent, is Canada's largest artistic gathering that blends large-scale creative works with a sustainable transformation of the urban landscape.
Buoyed by the tremendous success of its inaugural edition in 2013, the festival was also awarded the prix Ulysse for Best festival or tourist event by the Grands Prix du tourisme québécois for the Montreal area, and helps anchor the status of this metropolis as an undisputable artistic hub in North America.
