MONTREAL, May 25, 2016 /CNW Telbec/ - Garage à musique, an initiative of the Fondation du Dr Julien, is pleased to invite you to its second benefit concert on June 16, 2016, under the theme "The Great Classics".
This emotion-charged show will feature a musical ensemble of 90 children of the Garage à musique, accompanied on stage by renowned artists: Mario Pelchat, Laurence Jalbert, Nanette Workman, Nancy Fortin, Alain Dumas and host Christian Bégin.
On the evening's program: the great classics of popular music from Quebec and elsewhere, Arthémuse orchestra from Collège Durocher Saint-Lambert and some very special surprises!

Attended by more than 700 children and youth each week, the Garage à musique integrates the social pediatrics model, the collective practice of music and specialized school assistance within the community. Located in the heart of Hochelaga-Maisonneuve, the Garage à musique is an innovative social development project, preventive as well as curative.

About the Fondation du Dr Julien
Fondation du Dr Julien is a social enterprise whose mission is to help all children from vulnerable environments to reach their full potential in accordance with the Convention on the Rights of the Child. The Fondation supports a network of 13 certified community social pediatrics centres (CPSCs). It also directly oversees three of these certified centers: CPSC d'Hochelaga-Maisonneuve and Garage à musique, located in the same district, and CPSC de Côte-des-Neiges. The Fondation is also accompanying six other CPSCs in the process of becoming certified. Together these CPSCs currently care for, support and provide life tools to 4,000 vulnerable children and their families across Quebec.
