MONTRÉAL, July 19, 2016 /CNW Telbec/ - Montréal Space for Life has had to cancel the photo shoot scheduled for media representatives for the introduction of the lynx kittens, along with their mother, into the Laurentian Maple Forest.
The lynx kittens will not be going into their habitat until next week, and they will be introduced to it gradually, to ensure the family's well-being. We will keep you posted!
Two lynx kittens were born on the night of May 15–16 at the Biodôme. This event, relatively rare for Canada lynx in zoos, was part of the Species Survival Plan of the Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA) in the US. The lynx at the Biodôme play a valuable role in helping to maintain the genetic diversity of the captive population.
