for public and active transit: A societal challenge
MONTREAL, Dec. 1 /CNW Telbec/ - Members of the press are invited to attend the Board of Trade of Metropolitan Montreal's business luncheon, on Thursday, December 2 at noon. Mr. Michel Labrecque, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Société de transport de Montréal, will be the guest speaker.
Mr. Labrecque will present the broad outlines of the STM's 2020 strategic plan whose main objective is to improve the quality of the service while at the same time increasing the number of commutes in the network by 40%. He will also take this opportunity to engage in a reflection on the means of making Montréal a true public and active transit city, a city in which public transit is a benefit rather than a challenge.
