MONTRÉAL, Oct. 2, 2014 /CNW Telbec/ - Members of the media are invited to participate in MONTRÉAL WALKS for mental health on Sunday, October 5 to kick off Mental Illness Awareness Week. The goal of this event is to fight the stigma surrounding mental illness and raise money for community organizations that provide mental health care and services.

When: Sunday, October 5, 2014 – Registration: 10:00 a.m. – Start of walk: 11:00 a.m.
One out of five Canadians will experience mental illness in their lifetime. Thanks to MONTRÉAL WALKS for mental health, together we will show that mental illness is not something to hide, and encourage people living with mental illness and their families to seek help.
