MONTRÉAL, June 8, 2016 /CNW Telbec/ - In conjunction with its annual theme of Seeing the Big Picture, Montréal Space for Life invites media representatives to learn about the new double feature at the Rio Tinto Alcan Planetarium, along with contributing artists Isabelle Blais (French narrator) and DUMAS. The shows One Day… on Mars, an original Space for Life production/creation, and Asteroid: Mission Extreme, a National Geographic and Sky-Skan co-production, will whisk audiences off to the universe of the possible, to the farthest reaches of the cosmos that has fascinated humanity since the dawn of time.
One Day… on Mars
Join our expedition to Mars and enjoy a thrilling immersive experience. You'll dive into the depths of seemingly bottomless canyons and brave the violent winds sweeping across the Red Planet's icy dunes. Set to original music by Dumas, One Day… on Mars takes you to a world that humans may well visit in just a few decades in our ongoing search for life there.
Asteroid: Mission Extreme
Narrated in French by Isabelle Blais and in English by Sigourney Weaver, Asteroid: Mission Extreme looks at how asteroids not only pose a grave danger for humanity, but also offer fascinating potential. Could they be used as stepping stones to other worlds – veritable way stations in space – enabling us to cross the Solar System? The challenges are enormous, of course, but this kind of mission could one day prove essential to protecting our planet and exploring new ones.
