Media invitation - Overcrowding in Nunavik housing - Inuit sound the alarm
QUEBEC CITY, March 16 /CNW Telbec/ - Inuit leaders are inviting representatives of the media to a press briefing on Wednesday, March 17, 2010, in front of the National Assembly of Quebec after Question Period.
Makivik Corporation president Pita Aatami, the president of the Kativik Regional Government, Maggie Emudluk, and Makivik Corporation board member Noah Tayara will make a brief statement to journalists before answering their questions.
The Inuit leaders, who will be in Quebec City in their capacity as Makivik Corporation board members, will take the opportunity to raise the serious problem of overcrowding in Nunavik housing and the federal government's failure to act on it.
