Media Invitation - Photo Opportunity - "Kick-off" Event - Second Salon de l'immigration et de l'intégration au Québec Français
MONTREAL, April 25, 2013 /CNW Telbec/ - Jonathan Chodjaï and Delphine Folliet - respectively president and managing director of Immigrant Québec -, invite you to attend, on Friday May 3 at 9:15 p.m., the "kick-off" ceremony for the second edition of Salon de l'immigration et de l'intégration au Québec (SIIQ), presented by Desjardins.
On this occasion, SIIQ organizers and partners as well as dignitaries will speak about the importance of this Salon dedicated to newcomers. Following protocol for public speaking, you'll hear in this order:
- Mister Jonathan Chodjaï, president of Immigrant Québec
- Mister Stephan Reichhold, director of the Table de concertation des organismes au service des personnes réfugiées et immigrantes (TCRI)
- Mrs Chantale Picard, vice-president, Strategy and implementation for the Greater Montreal area, Desjardins
- Mrs Manon Barbe, president of the Conférence régionale des élus de Montréal (CRÉ)
- Mrs Mary Deros, city counselor, member of the executive committee and responsible for cultural communities, City of Montreal
- Mrs Diane De Courcy, Minister of Immigration and Cultural Communities and Minister in charge of the Charter of the French language
The second edition of SIIQ will offer many new features, including a photography exhibit by internationally acclaimed Josias Gob which will showcase the journey of six immigrant personalities who have become, in time, genuine points of reference. They are, namely, Éric M'Boua, Isabelle Maréchal, Danièle Henkel, Lynda Thalie, Jérôme Ferrer and Alexandra Diaz This photo exhibit will be unveiled at the kick-off event, in the presence of the photographer and some of the personalities captured.
