Media invitation - Press conference - Ill-treatment of journalists by police during demonstrations

MONTREAL, Sept.18, 2015 /CNW Telbec/ - 99 % Media, Canadian Journalists for Free Expression (CJFE) and Association des journalistes indépendants du Québec (AJIQ) invite members of the media to a press conference regarding press freedom violations by Montreal police during demonstrations.

The press conference will follow a closed meeting with the Service de Police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM) about the treatment of journalists by police during demonstrations in Montreal, held in presence of observers from the Canadian Association of Journalists and the Canadian Civil Liberties Association.

Will be present at the press conference: members of 99 % Media, the executive director of Canadian Journalists for Free Expression, Tom Henheffer, and the president of Association des journalistes indépendants du Québec, Simon Van Vliet.
