MONTREAL, Sept. 11, 2014 /CNW Telbec/ - Members of the media are invited to kick off festivities for the 24th Rock 'n' Roll Oasis Montreal Marathon alongside Dominique Arsenault, Marathon spokesperson, Dimitrios Jim Beis, member of the Ville de Montréal's executive committee, responsible for procurement, sports and leisure, and cultural communities, Jean Gattuso, President and CEO of A. Lassonde Inc. and Chief Operating Officer of Lassonde Industries Inc., Céline Muloin, President and CEO of Fondation Tel-jeunes, and Laurent Godbout, President of the Fédération québécoise d'athlétisme. This year, Quebec's most popular sporting event will see close to 35,000 participants compete in its five races.
Two remarkable athletes will be there—the 2013 champion, Quebec's own David Savard, and Montrealer Alice Cole, the runner who continues to break records at 80 years of age—and will be available for interviews.
